The Vitality of Quiet Time

Quiet time is not negotiable. In the era we are in, multiple distractions are constantly begging our attention. It's not a shocker that we unintentionally fall into the world of non-stop dopamine. Well, here's the interesting part, 'stop and breathe'. Yes, breathe…it's vital. Get your eyes off your screens and live. Actively spend time with your family and friends. You can do this on your Sabbaths also called 'Rest Days' or better still make one. Take a day off. It could be a Saturday or Sunday. Make efforts to rest your body and mind on these days. Most importantly, use this opportunity to cast your worries onto God. Listen to God's sweet voice, so you will be refilled for the week ahead. Try to keep calm, take deep breaths, and enjoy the silence. When you start to prioritize practicing quiet time, you realize how filled you become. You tend to appreciate the virtue of silence. You become filled with peace that surpasses all understanding. Dearest reade...

The Power of Saying 'No'

We all love to say yes all the time. Yes to going out, sleeping, talking, etc. But find it difficult to utter the brutal word 'No'. 'Yes' sounds more like a happy word whilst 'No' sounds bad. However, 'No' is that one word that ends an endless conversation, and prevents you from being stuck in a ditch or doing something you did not plan to do in the first place. So, is 'No' terrifying? And why? From the ground of a person who suffered from severe people-pleasing- 'No' is one word that was exempt from my dictionary. It used to be a scary word for me because I feared displeasing people; mind you, it was more than an unconscious habit than it was a conscious one. I mean, saying no saves you a lot. It saves you time and energy. Most importantly, it is the power that delivers you from being a people pleaser to pleasing God alone. Saying 'No' is usually difficult compared with saying 'Yes' but it is mind-blowingingly vital. Here...

He won’t Give Up on You

That feeling when you don't aspire to listen to any motivation. You desire to sit in a spot, scrolling through your phone and being sad all day. We all feel this way at a point. We don't understand why everything has gone haywire, why the motivation we have been holding onto seems to fade away from our hearts. Likewise, we take a glance, but nothing makes any sense.  There's just one Man, who is never willing to turn His back on you. Even when you feel He should, so that your pain may be complete. He is incredibly loyal, to the point of tears. You mean a lot to me, He declares. “I will love you in your pain still. The world will let you down, but, I will never.” “When you feel I should give up on you so, you could drown in pain, I'll be there with you. I'll give you my shoulders to cry on, I'll wipe away your tears; this is my Promise to you, proclaims the Lord.” His Name is Jesus… M. E Ojukwu. Little Pieces

I used to be Scared to Write

I thought writing was for the pros alone. I mean, there are people who write as though, they were born with a pen and paper in their hands– apparently, that’s how good they are. On the contrary, anyone could write, even you, dear reader. You could write your story, experiences, and your thoughts; they are valid. A friend motivated me to write. I used my Notes app and tried it, and it was fantastic. I was honestly surprised at how enjoyable the experience was and how well the text turned out. So, what am I saying…? Choose to write your story— writing is a way to document memories and all your life experiences. Plus, someone could learn valuable lessons from you. Write your Story—Do it Anyway. M. E Ojukwu. Jesus Satisfies You—He's the Living Water^☘️

Jesus said to the lady from Samaria, whoever drinks from this well will go thirsty again, but whoever drinks from the water I give will never thirst again. Two Things to Note: Jesus said you would've "asked," and I would give you Living Water. So, one key step to attaining this Living Water is by "ASKING." Jesus even gives us the dominion to ask, wow! He doesn't just impose anything on us. He desires that we ask anything in His name so that our joy may be full. (John 16:24) You have to ask—to receive (if you're too lazy to ask, that's on you, because God has given us dominion to take charge). So, the ball is in your court. Is any among you afflicted? Let him pray. (James 5:13) The second thing to emphasize is this Living Water completely SATISFIES YOU. It does not leave you wanting; it leaves you believing—trusting God to provide your every need and more. The water the world gives can never satisfy you. In a world where a lot of people desire to ga...

Do It UNAPOLOGETICALLY

Have you ever been scared of being too good at something? Playing it safe so you wouldn’t appear perfect before others? Well, this was me too, but thank God there’s a Bible verse that drives that fear away. Jesus Himself is perfect, and by Him we are all made perfect. The Scripture is Matthew 5:16; here Jesus says, “...let your light so shine before others that they may see your good works and give Glory to your Father who is in Heaven.” That is, I shouldn’t be scared of showcasing my gifts, ideas, and wisdom to the world, as all of these are a gift from God. In fact, be proud to showcase your gifts so that people will see them and give Glory to God. God did not create us to be small or to play small; rather, He says in the book of Psalms 91:14, “...I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.” God is thinking big of you; why will you think small of yourself? Say it until it sinks in: “I’m Light, and I function as Light 100%.” Not 99.9% but 100% completely.  You mustn’t f...
