The Vitality of Quiet Time
Quiet time is not negotiable. In the era we are in, multiple distractions are constantly begging our attention. It's not a shocker that we unintentionally fall into the world of non-stop dopamine. Well, here's the interesting part, 'stop and breathe'.
Yes, breathe…it's vital. Get your eyes off your screens and live. Actively spend time with your family and friends. You can do this on your Sabbaths also called 'Rest Days' or better still make one.
Take a day off. It could be a Saturday or Sunday. Make efforts to rest your body and mind on these days. Most importantly, use this opportunity to cast your worries onto God. Listen to God's sweet voice, so you will be refilled for the week ahead. Try to keep calm, take deep breaths, and enjoy the silence.
When you start to prioritize practicing quiet time, you realize how filled you become. You tend to appreciate the virtue of silence. You become filled with peace that surpasses all understanding.
Dearest reader I hope this inspires you to stop and breathe:)
